128s Multisample Maker

Recordings in. Instruments out.

128s turns any audio into a playable instrument for your sampler in about a minute. Drop a recording in, pick a mode, hit GO. It chops the audio, tunes it, maps it across your keyboard, and exports it ready to play.

Why this exists

Let’s face it: multisample instruments are a chore to make.

Still… I’ve spent DAYS on ONE multi before because nothing else sounds as good.

After making thousands of them I got fed up and learned to code…

Now 128s makes a full multisample in just 1 minute.

Load the files into any sampler, spread them across the keys, and play.

128s works with ALL samplers. Not just Ableton.

“I learned to code JUST so I could build 128s… It does a whole day worth of sampling and prep work in under a minute.”

9 ways to build an instrument.

Pick a mode. Set three sliders. Hit GO.

Waveform chopped into numbered segments
DRY Tuned Chops
Captures complete notes, retunes to C, sorts dark to bright for velocity playing. Your source material, cleaned up and ready to perform.
Velocity gradient bars from soft to hard
VEL Velocity Expression
DRY processing plus attack shaping and subtle variations that respond to how hard you play. Hit soft for mellow, hit hard for punch.
Lowpass filter curves at increasing cutoff frequencies
FLT Filter Sweep
Clean lowpass filter that opens with velocity. Play soft: dark and muted. Play hard: bright and open. No artifacts, no timing drift.
Resonant filter curves with increasing resonance peaks
ACD Acid Filter
TB-303-inspired resonant filter with saturation. Squelchy, screaming at high DEPTH. Built for basslines and leads that bite.
Chromatic keyboard with main range and recipe octave zones
KEY Chromatic Keyboard
Each sample lands on its natural note on the keyboard. Minimal retuning, full note envelopes. The classic multisampler approach, automated.
Spectral bars showing kicks, snares, and hats filtered by DEPTH
HIT Drum Kit Builder
DEPTH is a focus knob: dial left for kicks, center for everything, right for hats. Brightness-sorted within the range for velocity expression.
Waveform divided into 16 equal subdivisions
LUP Loop Chopper
Even slices at standard divisions (16ths, 8ths, etc.). Dynamics and feel preserved. Built for jungle breaks and any loop-slicing workflow.
Individual notes on a timeline ready for rearrangement
SEQ Sequential Notes
Pulls out individual notes and hits from a recording. Step through them one by one and rearrange at the keyboard.
Four phrases with waveforms mapped to keys
PHR Phrase Capture
MPC-style. Each key triggers a complete musical phrase. Hold a note, hear a whole phrase. Built for the Akai tradition.

All 9 modes share the same three sliders. CHOPS sets how many samples. DEPTH controls processing intensity (changes meaning per mode). REMIX assigns a Wildcard Range at the top of your instrument and fills it with random selections from 67 built-in Remix Recipes.

Load a single sample under 5 seconds and DRY, VEL, FLT, and ACD modes automatically generate velocity layers instead of chopping. No configuration needed.

128s Settings page showing the full list of Remix Recipes

67 built-in Remix Recipes.

Turn up the REMIX slider and 128s reserves the top keys of your instrument for wildcard variations. Scratches, tape stops, acid filters, granular stretches, bitcrush, chorus, reverse, delays. Your normal chops stay at the bottom. The weird stuff sits at the top for when you want something you wouldn't have made on your own.

Every recipe has an intensity controlled by the DEPTH slider. Subtle or extreme. And you can reorder, enable, or disable any recipe in Settings.

29 pitch-safe recipes for tonal material. 38 pitch-modulating recipes for percussive and experimental work. REMIX=0 for clean chops only.

Build instruments without stopping the session.

Make better decisions, faster.

Click through kicks in a folder and you hear them solo. Load 128 kicks on your keyboard, hit play on your track, and you hear each one against your actual mix. Same kicks. Completely different choice.

Experiment without waiting.

128s caches its analysis the first time you process a file. After that, switching modes takes seconds. Try a few different approaches on the same recording. Keep whatever sounds right.

Built-in wildcards.

Turn up REMIX and the top keys of your instrument get filled with wild variations of your audio. Scratches, tape stops, time-stretches, acid filters, pitch shifts. Normal chops at the bottom, weird stuff at the top.

Three sliders. GO. Done.

CHOPS: how many. DEPTH: how processed. REMIX: how much wildcard material at the top. Load audio, set sliders, hit GO. No zone mapping. No transient markers. No sample editing.

Works with everything.

The short version.

Does this work with my DAW or sampler?
128s has 21 native output formats. Click the format button and pick your device: Serum 2 (SFZ), Ableton Sampler (native .adv presets), Elektron (Octatrack, Digitakt I/II, Model:Samples), MPC (XML keygroup), OP-1 (AIFF), Dirtywave M8, Polyend Tracker (.pti), 1010music, Morphagene (48kHz reels), Assimil8or, Disting EX, TipTop One, and basic WAV/sample chain. The app auto-formats sample rate, channels, and metadata for each device. You can also set 128s as your audio editor in Ableton and launch it directly from the Edit button.
Is this a plugin?
Standalone app. macOS, Windows, and Linux. 128s processes audio and outputs numbered sample files (or a single Sample Chain) that you load into your sampler of choice.
How long does processing take?
For files under 30 seconds, about a minute in most modes. Longer files and stems take more time depending on the mode and settings. The analysis caching system means second runs on the same file are 6 to 10x faster, so experimenting with different modes is quick after the first pass.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes. 128s is fully functional for 30 days. All 9 modes, all 67 recipes, full 128-sample output. No watermarks, no quality degradation.
Is 128s included in Producer Dojo membership?
Full access while you’re a member. If you want 128s regardless of membership, grab the $49 license.
What are the 67 Remix Recipes?
Built-in effects that get applied to the Wildcard Range at the top of your instrument. 29 are pitch-safe (filter sweeps, chorus, timestretch, reverb). 38 are pitch-modulating (scratch techniques, tape stop, laser, granular, combos that chain multiple recipes together). Controlled by the REMIX slider. Set to zero for clean dry chops.
Can I customize which recipes are used?
Yes. Settings lets you reorder recipe priority and enable or disable individual recipes per mode.

Welcome to the 128s era.
